چکیده

We study the quantum circuit complexity of cosmological perturbations in different models early universe. A natural measure for is based on symplectic group, allowing us to identify with geodesics hyperbolic plane. investigate both mode functions and physical perturbations, arguing that latter often provides a more insightful description physics involved. In all total reached rather large. Inflationary may be represented by comparatively simple circuit, while during matter-dominated contracting phase present most rapid growth complexity. Ekpyrotic reside middle are distinguished smallest before horizon exit. Our analysis serves highlight how achieve same end result via routes show pronounced sensitivity initial conditions.

Quantum Circuit Complexity

We propose a complexity model of quantum circuits analogous to the standard (acyclic) Boolean circuit model. It is shown that any function computable in polynomial time by a quantum Turing machine has a polynomial-size quantum circuit. This result also enables us to construct a universal quantum computer which can simulate, with a polynomial factor slowdown, a broader class of quantum machines ...

Quantum inflaton, primordial metric perturbations and CMB fluctuations

We compute the primordial scalar, vector and tensor metric perturbations arising from quantum field inflation. Quantum field inflation takes into account the nonperturbative quantum dynamics of the inflaton consistently coupled to the dynamics of the (classical) cosmological metric. For chaotic inflation, the quantum treatment avoids the unnatural requirements of an initial state with all the e...

Primordial perturbations from inflation

I review the standard analysis of adiabatic scalar and tensor perturbations produced by slow-roll inflation driven by a single scalar field, before going on to discuss recent work on the role of non-adiabatic modes during and after inflation. Isocurvature perturbations correlated with adiabatic modes may be produced during multi-field inflation and would give valuable information about the phys...

Classicality of the primordial perturbations

The promotion of cosmology from an area of speculation to an area of observation and measurement is one of the most remarkable developments in the history of human knowledge. Starting at an ‘initial’ temperature of a few MeV, the observable Universe is understood in considerable detail (we are setting ~ = c = kB = 1). At the initial epoch the expanding Universe is an almost isotropic and homoge...

On The Complexity of Quantum Circuit Manipulation

The stabilizer class of circuits, introduced by Daniel Gottesman, consists of quantum circuits in which every gate is a controlled-NOT (CNOT), Hadamard or phase gate [5]. These circuits have several interesting properties. For example, they are robust enough to allow for entangled states, yet they are known to be simulable in polynomial time by a classical computer. These circuits also naturall...
